Volunteer Opportunities

JFS offers many volunteer opportunities:

• Senior services
  • Make friendly visits or supportive phone calls to homebound seniors
  • Deliver holiday gifts to seniors
  • Transport seniors to medical appointments
  • Run errands for a senior or perform chores around their home, such as snow removal
• Fundraising
  • Find and apply for grants on behalf of JFS
  • Help out at a JFS fundraising event, such as the annual Benefit Brunch
• Human services
  • Help keep our food bank and medical lending closet well organized
  • Deliver food to clients who are unable to visit our food bank
• Administrative 
  • Perform various administrative tasks, from home or at the JFS office
• Cultural programs
  • Join the Jewish film festival selection committee
  • Work as a greeter, ticket taker, or box office assistant during the film festival
  • Help prepare meals for monthly JFS Luncheons
  • Call seniors to get their RSVPs for JFS Luncheons
  • Bake hamantaschen or round challah for holiday gift deliveries to seniors
