Welcome to Spokane Area Jewish Family Services!
Spokane Area Jewish Family Services provides programs and support services to help strengthen individuals and families in our community, while incorporating Jewish principles, culture, and values.
Title VI Notice to the Public
“The roots of the commandment to charity are deep. They go to the essential call on all of us to help sustain life, to heal the world (tikkun olam), and to remember that we were once ourselves strangers in a strange land. Tzedakah is justice itself. As the world changes, so too must our response to the profound commandment of charity.” (Tzedakah in a Global Community, Jeffrey D. Sachs)
At Spokane Area Jewish Family Services, we bring life to others. Through our food bank, client advocacy, personalized consultations, and rent and utility assistance programs, we offer hope and support to families and individuals in our Spokane community during some of the most difficult moments in their lives. We ensure the welfare of our senior clients through home visits, consultations on care or living transitions, transportation to doctors or errands, and enjoyable social events such as our monthly luncheons. We enhance the cultural life of our community through the Spokane Jewish Cultural Film Festival and the PJ Library and PJ Our Way programs, which offer free Jewish books and music to children 12 and under.
Your generous gift to SAJFS helps to ensure that basic human needs are met with dignity. We invite you to designate your support to our General Fund, the George M. Kohn PJ Library Fund, or the Deborah Ann Press Luncheon Fund. Any gift can be made in honor or memory of someone you love, and we will send the appropriate acknowledgement. We are able to accept your contributions online. Please take a few minutes to explore information about all of our programs and services by clicking through the tabs on the left side of this page.
